General Maintenance Information:
Terroxy
Resin Systems thin-set epoxy terrazzo flooring systems are easily maintained due to seamless, durable finish.Floors actually take the most abuse of any surface in the building, therefore requiring regular maintenance.
Consider these few basic maintenance guidelines when caring for your terrazzo floor.
Initial Finish:
After installing Terroxy
Resin Systems thin-set epoxy terrazzo, wash surface with Terroxy® Terra Clean orcomparable neutral cleaner that has a pH factor between 7 and 10. Rinse with clean water then allow surface to dry.
Apply a minimum two coats of Terroxy® Penetrating Sealer, Terroxy® WB Urethane Sealer, Terroxy® WB Acrylic Sealer
or Terroxy® Acrylic Sealer to help maintain surface.
Daily Maintenance:
Frequently sweep or dust mop floor to remove gritty soil. Damp mop or auto scrub surface with Terroxy
® Terra Cleanor comparable neutral cleaner that has a pH factor between 7 and 10. Rinse with clean water then allow surface to dry.
Weekly Maintenance:
Damp mop or auto scrub surface with Terroxy
® Terra Clean or comparable neutral cleaner that has a pH factor between7 and 10. Rinse with clean water then allow surface to dry. Routine mechanical scrubbing is recommended for all
surfaces having a non-skid texture. Long periods of heavy traffic may cause wear patterns across the surface.
Apply a minimum two coats of Terroxy® Penetrating Sealer, Terroxy® WB Urethane Sealer,
Terroxy® WB Acrylic Sealer or Terroxy® Acrylic Sealer to help maintain surface.
Heavy Maintenance:
Dust mop entire floor then aggressively scrub using Terroxy
® Terra Clean and auto-scrubber with a red or green pad.Use blue pad for heavily marked or unusually dirty floors. Rinse floor and allow time for drying. Apply a minimum two
coats of WB Acrylic Sealer to help maintain surface.
Additional Considerations:
Harsh cleaners and sealers may damage the terrazzo surface. Avoid all-purpose cleaners or soaps containing water
soluble, inorganic or crystallizing salts, harmful alkalis or acids. Also avoid sweeping compounds which contain oil
and can permanently discolor your floor.

While the epoxy matrix serving as the binder for your terrazzo floor is comprised of a stain, chemical and bacteria resistant resin, thin-set epoxy terrazzo systems include 70% aggregate which may be affected by these and other staining agents.
